Zola Hammell

Mrs. Zola Mae Hammell, of Sylvan Springs, AL, passed away September 24, 2013, at the age of 104. She was of the Baptist faith. She loved to garden, fish, do jigsaw puzzles, and watching Alabama and Auburn football. She dearly loved her family. She was preceded in death by her husband of 73 years, James E. Hammell. She is survived by her children; Estelle Lepper, Nyle Crumpton Hammell (Karen), Clara Burnett, and Frances Willis (Martin), a sister, Willie Bussie, eight grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Friday, September 27, 2013, from 11:30-1:30 PM at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home followed by a graveside service at Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South.
