Yvonne Stephenson

Yvonne "Von" Carlene Stephenson passed away peacefully on January 27, 2017 at her home in Alabaster, Alabama. She was born on June 1, 1960, in Welch, West Virginia. She was a 1978 graduate of Gary High School. She worked as a CNP Manager at Vestavia Hills Central Elementary School for 10 years, where she loved and enjoyed her time with her students and coworkers. Von truly lived for her family and friends; always loving to chat on the phone at the kitchen table, enjoying a cup of coffee with her friends and being surrounded by her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Terry; her sons, Frankie (Amy) and Jon (Stephanie) Catron; her step-sons, Terry (Rose) and Billy (Della) Stephenson; granddaughters, Heather, Zoey, Dede and Savannah, grandsons, Terry, Dax, Joey and Emmet; identical twin sister, Yvette (Jack) Hatter; sister, Margaret Vincent; brother, Mike (Claudine) Presley; sister-in-law, Kaye Presley; former husband Frank (Margie) Catron Jr.; and a host of family and friends. She is preceeded in death by her father, Steward Presley Sr.; mother, Dorothy Barnett Presley; brother, Steward "Fuzz" Presley Jr.; sister, Patricia Moore; and nephew, Burton Perry.
The family will receive friends and others whose lives Yvonne touched from 6-7, Tuesday, January 31, 2017, at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home, Hwy 150 in Hoover. A celebration of life service will follow at 7 PM in the chapel, to reminisce, grieve, support each other and of course chat about the wonderful life Von shared with so many.
