Wilma Jinks

Wilma Dean Gilbert Jinks, passed away on Tuesday, April 12, 2016, the age of 83, at her home in Vestavia Hills, Alabama. She moved to Birmingham five years ago from Eufaula, Alabama. She was born to Green and Carrie Gilbert in Mountain, Alabama and attended Newsite High School. Her parents and her husband William Jinks preceded her in death. She was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Eufaula for forty-two years before moving to Vestavia Hills. Wilma was a genuine lady of the South, and she was beloved by her friends and family.

She is survived by her daughter, Fairy Jinks Sutherland and son-in-law, Frank Sutherland of Birmingham; granddaughter, Ashley Brooke Sutherland-Winch and husband, Rob Winch; grandsons, Stephen Christopher Sutherland and Adam Christian Sutherland. She is also survived by one sister, Zora Cook and sister-in-laws, Jeanette Gilbert and Mavis Gilbert.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, April 15th at the First Baptist Church of Eufaula at 11:30 A.M.
