William Taylor

Nov. 30, 1952 - Sep. 30, 2014 William Roy Taylor passed away Tuesday, September 30th. He was predeceased by the love of his life, Linda Schramm Taylor, and his parents, Eddie and Merle Taylor. He is survived by his sister, Linda T. Bennett (Don), brothers: Charles Taylor, and Tony Taylor (Barbara); aunts, Dorothy Mizerany, Doris Gustin, and Edwina Zales (William). He is also survived by his mother-in-law, Vera Schramm, sisters-in-law, Anita Conner and Diane Alexander (Jamie), brother-in-law, Doug Schramn. He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and dear friends. Roy served in the Army Reserves for 6 years. He retired from the Birmingham News after a long career, followed by several years of service at Pinnacle Data Systems. Visitation will be Thursday at St. Elias Catholic Church, 838 8th Street South, from 11:00 to 1:00 p.m., followed by a Funeral Mass. Burial will be immediately after Mass at Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South on John Hawkins Parkway in Hoover, AL. MSGR. Richard Saad will officiate the service
