William Stewart

81, of Shelby, passed away at his home after a long illness. He was the son of the late John A. and Louvina Stewart. Mr. Stewart was a Veteran of WWII having served in the Navy Sea Bees. He was a Master Mason in the Flint Hill Lodge and the Shriner Zamora Temple. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Vera Todd Stewart; 3 sons, Danny Stewart (Beebee) of Jacksonville, FL, Roger Dale Todd (Linda) of Houston, TX, and Davy Joe Stewart of Jacksonville, FL; 2 daughters, Marilyn Sue Bell of Bessemer and Christa Todd Stewart of Shelby; 8 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and a host of friends and loved ones. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 18, 2006, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home, Hwy. 150, Hoover. Funeral services will be Wednesday, July 19, 2006, at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with entombment following in Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South. If anyone is moved to make a contribution, the family requests that such donations be made to the Shriners Burned and Crippled Children Hospital.
