William Richards

Mr. William "Bill" Richards, of Hoover, passed away October 3, 2013, at the age of 88. He was a US Navy Veteran of WWII. Bill retired as District Manager from Goodyear Tire and Rubber after 35 years of service. He was a long time member of Southminster Presbyterian Church. Bill was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. Bill was preceded in death by a daughter, Ginny Hedgpeth. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Selma Richards, daughter, Billie Rosenbaum (Daryl), sister, Sally Cook, two grandchildren, Jake Rosenbaum (Brandi), Ginny Webb (James), and three great grandchildren, Kayli, Banks, and Sheppard. The family will receive friends Tuesday, October 8, 2013, from 1-2 PM at Southminster Presbyterian Church. Funeral services will follow at 2 PM with Dr. Joe Slane officiating. Interment will be in Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to Southminster Presbyterian Church or Living River.
