William Pool, Sr

Mr. William R. "Bill" Pool, Sr., 79, of Hoover, passed away on Wednesday, August 29, 2012. He was a longtime Vestavia Hills merchant where he owned a Service Station and Automotive repair business from 1957 until 1996. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Ethel Pool and then his second wife, Betty Brown Pool. He is survived by his three children, William R. "Chip" Pool, Jr., Sandy Pool (Paula), Kristen Pool Ray and four grandchildren. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, September 1, 2012 at 1 PM at Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services in the Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home. Dr. Jim Savage will be officiating.
