William Palmer, Sr

71, of Hoover, passed away on Thursday, November 29, 2012. He was a graduate of Jones Valley High School. Upon completion of high school, he joined the US Army Reserves. He was co-owner of Quality Tool Repair for over 25 years. He was an avid Alabama football fan and enjoyed spending time with family and friends and touched many lives in so many ways. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He is survived by his wife Janice Palmer; five children, Melissa Palmer, Holly Bates (Mike), Paige Palmer Casey, Brooke Gamble (Jason) and Bill Palmer (Donna); 10 grandchildren; one brother Joseph S. Palmer (Liz); two nieces and a host of friends. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 4, 2012 from 1 pm until 2 pm at the Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home Chapel with a Celebration of his life to begin at 2 pm. In leiu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
