Mr. William D. "Moe" Mosley,age 81, of Hoover, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Saturday, September 24, 2011. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and never met a stranger. He found joy in bringing laughter to all those around him. "Moe" grew up in Ensley, and raised his family in Greensprings where he owned Mosley's Ice Cream and Sandwhich Shop, H&W service station, and Sandy's Children's Shop. For many years Moe was an active Mason, Shriner, Scottish Rite Mason, member of Dinar Grotto and of First Baptist Church of Hoover. He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Sonya Leigh Simmons and his grandson, William Tate King, Jr. He is survived by his beautiful wife of 59 years, Doris Mosley; three daughters, Rhonda Simmons (Paul), Jan Collier (Jimmy), and Sandra King (Buddy); grandchildren, Paul Simmons, Jr., Craig Simmons (Lauren), Jenny Healey (Jeremy), Hunter Collier, Lacey King; and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. The family will receive friends from 5-7 PM, Monday, September 26, 2011, at First Baptist Church of Hoover. Funeral service will be at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, September 27, 2011, at the church, Dr. Randy Atkinson and Dr. Noel Walker officiating. Interment will be in Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South.
