William Moody, Jr

Mr. William Ray Moody, Jr., of Hueytown, age 55, passed away at his home February 6, 2013. Mr. Moody graduated from Jones Valley High School and UAB School of Engineering. Bill retired from Southern Company Services with 31 years of service. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Ray, Sr. and Clara Charlene Moody; sister-in-law, Debbie Moody; and grandparents, William Lester and Mary Jane Moody, Joseph Julius and Clara Bruce Beumer. He is survived by his daughters, Ashley Lynne Moody (Danny) and Kristin Paige Moody; grandson, Kinsler, all of Lubbock, TX; sister, Pamela Moody Ellis; brother, Michael Bryan Moody, Sr.; niece, Stephanie Wheat (Mike); nephew, Michael Bryan Moody, Jr.; great niece, Taylor Rae Wheat; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends, most especially, Pam Glass and her daughter, Heather Glass. The family will receive friends from 1-2 PM, Friday, February 8, 2013, at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home in Hoover. Graveside Service will follow at 2 PM in Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South. The family would like to thank Comfort Care Hospice, Baptist Medical Center Princeton, UAB West, and especially Brenda Echols, caregiver, for their loving care of Mr. Moody. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Comfort Care Hospice.
