William M.D.

of Hoover, passed away on Tuesday, June 6, 2006 at the age of 52. He was the loving husband of Konie Bryant and proud father of Justin, Jessica, Jarod, and Jenna Bryant. Bill was a skilled Orthopaedic Surgeon who grew up in Stevenson, AL. He studied at Auburn University and the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Medicine. For the past 23 years, Bill practiced medicine in the Birmingham community, loving what he did everyday and the people he treated. Not only did his hands heal those at his private practice at Southlake Orthopaedics, but it was also his privilege to be the team physician for the Hoover High School Buccaneers. Go Bucs, War Eagle, and Go Navy! Bill was a member of Riverchase United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his father, Laburn Sanders Bryant. He is survived by his wife, Konie Bryant, and four children, Justin, Jessica, Jarod, and Jenna of Hoover; mother, Carolyn Prince Bryant of Stevenson, AL; brothers, Stanley Eli Bryant (Shay), of Brentwood, TN; and James Phillip Bryant (Teresa) of Singapore, and nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 8, 2006 from 6-8 p.m. at Riverchase United Methodist Church, Hoover. A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 9, 2006 at 2 p.m. at the church.
