William Lovelady, Sr

80, of Bessemer, passed away on Wednesday, December 31, 2008 with his family by his side. Mr. Lovelady was retired from Pullman Standard. He was preceded in death by his son, George D. Lovelady. He is survived and will be greatly missed by his wife of 60 years, Lula G. Lovelady; a son, William Lovelady, Jr. (Susan); three daughters, Judy Stephenson (Skip), Katherine Williams (Dave), Luanne Thrasher (Tommy); nine grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Friday, January 2, 2009 from 6-8 pm at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home, Hwy 150 Hoover. Funeral Service will be Saturday, January 3, 2009 at 2 pm in the funeral home chapel with burial at Southcrest Baptist Church Cemetery where he was a member for 54 years.
