William Franks

William "Bill" Franks, of Alabaster, went to be with the Lord, Tuesday, February 3, 2015, at the age of 82. He was a veteran of the US Air Force for 22 years. After retirement he served for 22 years as a Southern Baptist Pastor.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Ann Nelson Franks; 2 sons, Charles N. Franks (Marilyn) and Terry A. Franks; 2 daughters, Cynthia E. Franks and Paige A. Franks; 6 grandchildren, Sarah E. Toulson (Travis), Rachel A Cogan (James), Connor A. Franks, Stephen M. Franks, Ian W. Franks, and Mary C. E. Franks; great grandson, Nathaniel L. Toulson; and brother, David S. Franks.
The family will receive friends from 9-11, Friday, February 6, 2015, at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home, Hwy 150 in Hoover. Funeral service will follow in the chapel at 11 AM, Paul Moore and Greg Sellers officiating. Interment will be in the Alabama National Cemetery.
