William Eckhoff

of Birmingham, passed away on Friday, December 2, 2011 at the age of 84. He was a member of St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. A graduate of West End High School, he served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He is survived by his wife, Hazel Eckhoff; a son, Mike Eckhoff (Dawn); a daughter, Barbara Eckhoff Cline (Richard); 4 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; and a number of extended family members and friends. The family will receive friends on Monday, December 5, 2011 from 12:30 to 2:00 PM at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM in the funeral home chapel. Interment will be in Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South.
