William Curtis, Jr

Mr. William M. "Moe" Curtis, Jr., 71, of Hoover, passed away on Friday, October 19, 2012. He was a member of Southminster Presbyterian Church. He was an Army veteran and a member of the McMakin Masonic Lodge #120 in Cincinnati. Moe was a local business owner of Burrow School Specialty / The Education Station. He was a lifelong golfer who enjoyed traveling and spending time with his family. He was a graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi where he was a member of the Kappa Sigma fraternity. He is survived by his wife of 50 years Glenda Cooley Curtis; daughter, Shannon Whitfield (Ray); sons, Billy Curtis (Jan) and Neal Curtis (Gretchen); eight grandchildren; and Chuck and Mark Cooley, who were brothers to him. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October, 23, 2012 at 11 AM at the Alabama National Cemetery in Montevallo. The family will receive friends on Sunday, October 21, 2012 from 5 until 7 pm at the Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home.
