William Corn

July 31, 1918 — March 17, 2006


age 87, of Bessemer, passed from this life March 17, 2006. A decorated soldier who participated in the Battle of the Bulge, Mr. Corn served his country in the US Army during WWII. He retired from US Steel after 36 years of service and was a member of Canaan Baptist Church. Mr. Corn is survived by his wife of 59 years, June Corn; sons, William H. Corn, Jr. and Mark Alan Corn. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Martha Jan Corn. The family will receive friends from 12:00-2:00 Tuesday, March 21, 2006 at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home on Hwy 150 in Hoover. A funeral service will follow in the funeral home chapel, Reverends Buddy Mohan and Tommy Chesser officiating. Interment will follow the service in Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South. Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home directing.
