of Pelham, passed away Tuesday, February 22, 2005 at the age of 70. He moved to Pelham 20 years ago from Pembroke Pine, FL after living there for 25 years. Mr. Bivins retired, after 40 years of service as a aircraft mechanic, with Eastern Airlines and Airborne Express. He had an extremely giving spirit, not only to his family but to all who knew him. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Nancy Bivins, of Pelham; one son, Gary Bivins (Kelly), of Cincinnati, OH; one daughter, Amanda Bivins, of Alabaster; two grandchildren, Michael and David Bivins; two brothers, Jimmie Bivins (Phyllis), of Pelham and Robert Dean (Pat), of Robbertsville, NC; two sisters, Nira Warden and Mary Ann Davis, both of St. Petersburg, FL. The family will receive friends Friday, February 25, 2005 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home, Hwy 150, Hoover, AL. Funeral Service will be on Saturday, February 26, 2005, in the funeral home chapel, with Rev. Tom Faut officiating. Interment will follow in Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South.
