William Barnard

William "Craig" Barnard, a native of Birmingham, passed away on Wednesday, April 20, 2016, at the age of 67. The family will receive friends at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home, 2701 John Hawkins Parkway, Hoover, AL, from 1-3PM Friday, April 29th with a graveside service following.

Craig was born in Birmingham, AL, the son of Howard Opal Barnard. Craig spent the majority of his adult years traveling the world with his "Brothers in Arms" while serving in the Air Force, but resided in Charleston, SC when stateside. Craig was a very unique, mysterious and funny individual who kept everyone on their toes - unpredictable to say the least. He will always be remembered for his dedication, love and loyalty to his family and lifelong friend to many. Craig was preceded in death by his father, Howard Barnard and brother-in-law, Charles Strickland.

Survivors include his mother, Opal Barnard; sister, Gwyn Strickland; two nieces, Caprice Strickland Callahan and Cathryn Strickland Neasham and husband, Derek; grandnieces, Kaitlyn Callahan and Sela Neasham; grandnephews, Chase Callahan and Will Neasham; and one great-grandniece, Easton Young.
