Mr. William A. "Bill" Baker, of Hoover, AL, passed away Wednesday, November 27, 2013, at the age of 89. He was a lifetime member of Hunter Street Baptist Church. He was retired from US Steel and a graduate from Howard College.
He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Frances Baker, son, Bill Baker, Jr. (Cecile), daughters, Jan Roberson (Pat) and Susan Pickett (Terry), five grandchildren, Kelly Roberson, Jay Roberson (Tiffany), Josh Baker, John William Baker, and Jill Pickett.
The family will receive friends Friday, November 29, 2013, from 10-11 AM at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Services will follow at 11 AM at the funeral home with Dr. Buddy Gray officiating. Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
