Wenona George

Mrs. Wenona Thoma George, age 91, of Birmingham, went to be with her Lord on Monday, March 12, 2012. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Birmingham. She was greatly loved and will be dearly missed. She is preceded in death by her husband, Marion Louis Thoma. She is survived by her husband, Frank W. George, two daughters; Suanne Walsh (Walter) of Birmingham, and Patti Hobson (David) of Arlington VA, two grandchildren; Charles West, III (Ashley) and Katy Ogletree (Jason), three step grandchildren, Lindsay Hobson, Walter Walsh, III, and Geoffrey Walsh, and seven great grandchildren. The family will receive friends Wednesday, March 14, 2012, from 1-2 PM at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home. Service will be at 2 PM with entombment following in Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South.
