Wanda Furlong

Mrs. Wanda Taylor Furlong of Hoover, Alabama went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on September 29, 2013. She was loved by her friends and family. Wanda was born in Montgomery, Alabama on March 30, 1951. She was preceded in death by her parents Edward and Pattie Taylor, and her husband Robert Earl Furlong. Wanda is survived by her daughters, Shea Furlong Williams (Mark) and Gracie Furlong Hill (Justin), and son Robert Daniel Furlong (Jill). Wanda had three grandchildren, Savannah, Graham and Heidi Williams. Wanda is also survived by her sisters, Linda Taylor Cutts, Sande Taylor Carnes (Robert), and Cindy Taylor Riddle (Carlson). Wanda loved the University of Alabama (where she met Robert), and loved cheering on her team on Saturdays. Wanda loved to travel. She had recently gone to Alaska with her youngest daughter Gracie. She loved her children and grandchildren and considered them the pride and joy of her life. Wanda was a member at Shades Mountain Independent Church and loved it there. Wanda will be loved and missed greatly, but we know she is in the presence of the Lord and rejoicing with angels. Visitation will be on Wednesday, October 2, 2013 at 11 am at Shades Mountain Independent Church, and a memorial service will follow at 12 noon. Memorials may be made to Shades Mountain Independent Church.
