Walter Selman

Walter Selman, of McCalla, went to be with the Lord on Friday, October 26, 2012, at the age of 77. Mr. Selman was a life-long resident of the Bessemer area, a graduate of Bessemer High School, and the owner-operator of Selman Fabricating for over 30 years. His family, especially his grandchildren, were his passion in his retirement. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Nelda Selman; his son, Dave Selman (Jamie); his daughter, Kim Selman; 2 grandchildren, Cole Selman and Payton Selman; his brother, Harold Selman (Martha); and 2 sisters, Kathleen Colvin (Manning) and Shirley Thrasher (Eugene). The family will receive friends from 10-12, Tuesday, October 30, 2012, at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home, Hwy 150 in Hoover. A graveside service will follow at 12 PM in Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South.
