Walter Novak

Mr. Walter K. Novak, age 84, of Birmingham, AL, passed away Wednesday, November 23, 2011.He served in the US Army. He was a graduate of Michigan State University. He retired from Redstone Arsenal, where he worked in Missile Intelligence. He was a member of Briarwood Presbyterian Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Lolo Novak and his first wife, Daisy Katherine Novak. He is survived by his wife, Mary Gilmore Novak, a son, Ken Novak, and two daughters; Linda Fievet (Lanny), and Donna Jordan (Jim), all of Birmingham, AL, a sister, Rena H. Quinn of Michigan, and four grandchildren. The family will receive friends, Monday, November 28, 2011, from 10-11 AM at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home. Services will follow at 11 AM with Reverend Tom Cheely officiating. Interment will be in Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
