Walter Iii

Mr. Walter (Bud) Charles Montgomery III, 65, of Hoover, Alabama, passed away on Saturday, May 30, 2015, surrounded by his family. He was born in Altoona, PA on December 20, 1949.He was a Vietnam War veteran and retired from the United States Air Force after 23 years of dedicated service. He then moved to Birmingham and worked for the Alabama Organ Center for 22 ½ years before retiring in February 2014. Bud enjoyed many hobbies and pastimes immensely during his life including fishing, woodworking and computing, but most of all he loved spending time with family. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather and there was nothing he would not do for family and friends. His passing is an immense loss to all who knew him
The service will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, June 7, 2015, in the Chapel at Prince of Peace Catholic Church. Visitation will be held at 2:30 PM in the Chapel. Interment of his ashes will follow at the Columbarium located on the Church grounds.
Bud is survived by his wife of 45 years Francine, daughter Christina, son Steven (Carolyn) granddaughter Avery, In-Laws John and Frances Peters, Sisters Sandy (Mike) Chambers and Kim (Henry) Brandt, Brothers David and Kevin and many nieces, nephews and in-laws.
Bud is preceded in death by his parents, sister Margaret Nelson and brother Kenneth Montgomery.
