Walter Ferguson

of Hoover, passed away on Friday, December 4, 2009, at the age of 69. He was a member of Hope Bible Chapel in Irondale and retired after 50 years in the Computer Software Industry. A U.S. Navy Veteran, Mr. Ferguson was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Ginger Ferguson; a son, Scott Ferguson (Tammy); 3 grandchildren, Dillon Bonds, Cameron and Cassie Ferguson; his step-father, Robert C. Stripling; his step-mother, Dot Ferguson; brothers, Billy, Ronnie (Mary Anne) and Donald Ferguson; sisters, Pat Walker (Don), Sheila Hebert (Gary) and Terri Ledoux (Bobby); and many cousins, nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 6, 2009, from 2:00 - 3:30 p.m. at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home, Hwy. 150, Hoover. A graveside service will follow at 3:30 p.m. in Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South with Alton Sizemore and Buddy Hughes officiating.
