Walter Bridges

Walter Joseph Bridges was born to Joseph and Katherine Bridges on July 12, 2011 and was carried into the arms of Jesus on September 17, 2011. Walt was greeted at the gates of Heaven by his great grandparents, David and Alice Beatrice Nichols, Bernard Barton, and Herbert Masters, and is now living a new life with them and his Heavenly Father. Little Walt was a bright moment of joy, and during his time on this earth he enjoyed embraces from loving family and friends, kisses from his big sister, and sharing sweet smiles that brought joy to the world around him. He is an immeasurable blessing to his family and his brief life a gift that will be forever treasured by those who love him. Walt is deeply loved by his Mommy and Daddy; his big sister, Norah; his maternal grandparents, Lee and Jean Masters; his paternal grandparents, Glenn and Sheila Bridges; his great-grandparents, Frances Barton, Edith Blomley Farris, and Walter and Barbara Bridges; as well as his aunts and uncles, his cousin and many others. Walt will always remain his parents’ “little man” and Norah’s “baby Walt.” His entire family finds peace and comfort in knowing they will hold him again in Heaven. Visitation will be held Wednesday, September 21st at 9:30 AM followed by a memorial service at 11:00 AM. Both services will be held at Shades Crest Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, Walt’s family requests that donations be made in his memory to Camp Smile-A-Mile.
