Wallace Prather

of Vestavia, passed away Thursday, February 18, 2010, at the age of 88. Mr. Prather served in the Army Air Corps in WWII. He was district manager for F.W. Woolworths, having given more than 50 years of service to the company. He was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Georgie Mae Prather. He is survived by two brothers, John Prather, Jr. of Hendersonville, NC and Hugh Prather of Matthews, NC. The family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00 AM, Monday, February 22, 2010, at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home on HWY 150 in Hoover. Graveside service will follow at 11:00 AM in Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South, Jim Profetto officiating.
