Virginia Schmick

Mrs. Virginia Harwell Schmick, age 87, of Hoover, passed away on July 9, 2014. She was a member of Oakmont Presbyterian Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Schmick, Captain (Ret) US Army; her parents, three brothers and one sister. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She is survived by one son, John W. (Vicki) Schmick Lt. Col (Ret) USAF of Warner Robins GA, and one daughter, Jane Hogue of Irondale. Three grandchildren, Emily Hogue Barron, Jennifer and Sarah Schmick; five great grandchildren, Blake, Katherine, Jamie, Stone and Tucker. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 16, 2014 at 11 am at the Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home chapel with burial in the Jefferson Memorial Gardens, East. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 15, 2014 from 6 until 8 pm at the funeral home.
