Virgie Moon

Virgie H. Moon, 88, passed away peacefully at home on February 12, 2025. She was born on 3/26/1936 in Greenville, Al. Virgie was a Preacher, Sunday School Teacher, counselor and owned a cleaner for several years. She lived life living and serving God daily. We know when God took her home the trumpet sounded, and God opened his arm to receive her in heaven. The family and friends will miss her.

Virgie was preceded in death by her late husband Harry Moon, a daughter Rebecca Sue Langley, her parents Virgil C Heath and Ola Bell Sims, two sisters Glady Jordan and Bonnie Chance and son-in-law Mark Owen. She is survived by her daughter Gail Owen and son Bucky (Rachael) Langley, three brothers, Pete (Lottie) Heath, Sammy (Wanda) White, David Heath, a Grandson Heath (Amie) Owen and Granddaughter Ashley (David) Stewart, 4 Great Grandchildren Autumn, Hanna, Mark Owen and Madison Stewart, several nieces, nephews, Great nieces and nephews who will never forget the love she brought to their lives.

A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 17,2025 at Currie-Jefferson Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:00 prior to service at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home.
