Treadwell Coopwood

Treadwell B. Coopwood age 94 of Hoover, AL went to be with the Lord on June 24, 2024, at his home in Indian Springs. He was born December 12, 1929, to Mr. and Mrs. Francis Marion Coopwood of Clarksdale MS. He is survived by his son Mark Edwin Coopwood (DeWana) grandchildren Parker and Abigail of Thomasville, AL, His daughter Nancy Grace Coopwood of Indian Springs.

Along with his parents Mr. Coopwood was predeceased by his wife Linda Grace Coopwood whom he was married to for 59 years. Also, his brothers Dr. Gene Lewis Coopwood and Francis Marion Coopwood of Clarksdale Mississippi.

Mr. Coopwood served his Country in the United States Air Force before attending Mississippi State University where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree. He later began and retired from his career with the Social Security’s Administration in Birmingham, AL.

Mr. Coopwood was a lifelong resident of Hoover, AL and a devoted member of Mountain. Chapel Methodist Church. The family enjoyed their time for many years in Gulf Shores, AL fishing and shrimping and even last year deep sea fishing in Ft. Morgan, AL.

Funeral Services will be held at the graveside on Friday June 28, 2024, at 10:00am. Services will be officiated by Pastor Nick Hughes of Mountain Chapel Methodist Church.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to Mountain Chapel Methodist Church or to your favorite animal charity.
