Tommy Hyde

Tommy Ray Hyde, 74, of Hoover, AL, formerly of Jasper, AL, passed away, Wednesday, February 19, 2025.

He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Tresia Medders Hyde, daughters Natalie Hackney (Jeremy), Amy Bodnar (Tim), Kelley Wilbanks (Matthew), and son Nick Madison (Alison); ten grandchildren: four grandsons, Jack Rigsby, Cade Rigsby, Harrison Spilko, Gunnar Wilbanks, six granddaughters, Lia Creel, Madison Bodnar, Alyssa Hackney, Hadley Madison, Breland Hackney, and Sloane Wilbanks; Mother: Doris Hyde, two brothers, BJ Hyde, Danny Hyde, one sister, Deborah Fuller, and several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his father, Bill Hyde, father-in-law Leon Medders, and son-in-law Shane Rigsby. Mr. Hyde spent his career working for Drummond Coal Company. After retirement with Drummond Coal he was a poultry farmer for many years prior to fully retiring in 2013. He moved to Hoover, AL in 2018. The family will hold a private memorial service on February 21, 2025.
