Thomas Casey, Jr

of Hoover, passed away on Monday, November 9, 2009, at the age of 75. He was a member of Shades Mountain Baptist Church and was a Sunday School teacher of the Business Men's Class. He graduated from Baylor University with a Degree in Geology, and he was a member of the ROTC. He received his Master's Degree in Paleontology from George Washington University. He served in the U.S. Air Force as a captain. Mr. Casey was an international sales manager for TRW, Inc. and Stockham Valve. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Stella Ann Casey; a son, Thomas L. Casey, III (Jennifer); a daughter, Jennifer Casey Corder (Casey); three grandchildren, Catherine and Anne Casey, and Avery Corder; and two sisters, Anna Estelle Christie and Anna Lee Weitzel. The family will receive friends on Thursday, November 12, 2009, from 5-7 PM at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home, Hwy 150, Hoover. Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 13, 2009, at 2 PM in the funeral home chapel, with Dr. Danny Wood officiating. Interment will be in Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to the Big Oak Ranch.
