Funeral services for Tera, age 12, will be held on Saturday, December 3, at Prince of Peace Catholic Church at 11:00 a.m., Rev. John Fallon and Rev Henry McDaid officiating. Visitation will be held Friday evening, 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. Tera is survived by her mother and father, Pat and Pat Morris, sister, Abby Morris and brother, Jamie Morris of Hoover; grandparents Larry and Anna Marie Morris of Hoover; Anne and Leo Tiernan of Huntsville; great-grandmother Frances Spota of Hoover; aunts and uncles Mike and Denise Morris of Hoover; Kathleen Tiernan, Chris and Annan Tiernan of Huntsville, Peggy and Frank Campos of Madison; Dennis and Paula Singleterry of Waynesboro, MS; cousins Charles Michael, Meghan and Andrew Morris of Hoover; Denny, Alyssa and Mollie Singleterry of Waynesboro; Sam Campos of Madison, William Paul Tiernan of Huntsville, cat Rambles and dog Hershey. Tera was a 7th grade student at Simmons Middle School in Hoover. She loved dancing, making Creative Memory scrapbooks and was active in Girl Scouts. She was a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church, Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA), and Girl Scout Troop 122. Tera was a patient of St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital for the past five years where she received treatment for a brain tumor. She was also a resident of the Ronald McDonald House in Memphis during her frequent trips to the hospital. The family wishes to thank the staff of St. Jude's, Prince of Peace Catholic Church, the Ronald McDonald House, the Knights of Columbus Council 11537 and friends who have been of great comfort and support.
