Teen Smalley

Ruth Ernestine Mills Smalley, of Alabaster, achieved her greatest life goal when she peacefully entered into eternity with her Savior on Friday, June 2, 2017, at age 90. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. Teen was a member of Inverness Vineyard Church and retired after more than 40 years in the Real Estate Title Insurance business. Whether you called her Granny, Teen or another special name that she had been given, you could count on her to always give grace! She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, J.B. "Big Daddy" Smalley; and her son-in-law, Ralph Scott.

Teen is survived by her 2 daughters, Deborah Scott and Susan Clark; 4 grandchildren, Alicia Stewart (Bill), Stacy Cole (Steve), Jamie Jones (Scottie) and Brooke Story; 10 great-grandchildren, Jared and Drew Stewart, Halle Kate and Anna Claire Cole, Andrew Jones, Camryn Moebes, Abby Thornburg, Emma Claire, Olivia, and Meredith Story; 2 great-great-grandchildren, Grayson and Maverick Jones; and many nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

The family will receive friends on Monday, June 5, 2017, from 6-8 PM at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home and the service will be in the Chapel on Tuesday, June 6, 2017, at 1 PM. Interment will be at Southern Heritage Cemetery. Pastor Bubba Justice and Pastor Chris Story, officiating.
