Sylviane McCombs of Birmingham, passed away Saturday, January 11, 2014, at the age of 85
She is preceded in death by 2 husbands, Dr. Jess McCormick and Chuck McCombs; and her son, Louis McCormick.
She is survived by 2 daughters, Gigi Copeland (Stan) and Candace Leonard Fischer (Jeff); her son, John Marc McCormick (Joy); 8 grandchildren, Matt Leonard (Kayla), Jeff Leonard, Ashley Bahr (Chris), Lauren Fisher (Don), Kara Vasseur Miller, Jacqueline McCormick, Christopher Copeland, and Jessica Copeland; and great grandson, Louis Bahr.
The family will receive friends from 1-2 PM, Friday, January 17, 2014 at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home in Hoover. Funeral service will follow at 2 PM in the funeral home chapel, Dr. Carl E. Johnson, Sr. officiating. Burial will be in Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Salvation Army.
