Steven Rutland

Steve Rutland passed away on September 13, 2024 at the age of 70. He is preceded in death by his father, Whit Rutland. He is survived by his mother, Bobbie Rutland, his sister and brother-in-law, Vicki and Eric Martin, cousins, nephews and extended family and friends.

He was born in Florence, Alabama, lived in Tuscaloosa for many years, and relocated to the Birmingham area in 2023 to be near family.

At one time he worked in a bottling plant and in later years was helpful in the family home. He obeyed the gospel years ago and last attended Oak Mountain church of Christ. He loved the Bible and attending church.

He enjoyed going outdoors, visiting with people, and being with family.

As a cherished and beloved member of the family he is greatly missed.

I Corinthians 12:9-10. My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness. Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ's sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong.
