Steven William Dee Hedden, passed away Friday, February 3, 2017, at age 58. He was born on January 16, 1959, in Deerborn, Michigan, the third child of Larry and Ada Hedden. Steve graduated from Athens State University where he played basketball and led his team to the Junior College national finals. After college, Steve lived and worked all over the world. From Antigua to Alaska, sailing across the Atlantic, and acting in Hollywood he always enjoyed staying on the move and developing friendships everywhere he went. He then moved back to the States to Hoover, Alabama, in 2006 to help care for his nieces and nephews after the passing of his brother, Tim Hedden, and sister, Lou Ann Hedden. He decided to remain after the passing of his father, Larry Hedden, in order to take care of his mother, Ada. Steve enjoyed golfing, traveling, laughing, sharing, meeting new people, and taking care of those he loved.
He is preceded in death by his father, Larry D. Hedden, brother, Dr. Tim Hedden and sister, Dr. Lou Ann Hedden. He is survived by his mother, Ada L. Hedden, sister, Sandy (Norbert) Tasler, nieces and nephews; Larry (Katherine), Anna (Joseph), Frank, and Hannah; cousins; Randy (Deb) Planck, Marc (Beth) Planck, Jackie Planck, and Matt (Tobi) Planck, as well as the Parks family, Aubrey, Stephen, Trevor, Anthony, Malcolm, and Gillian.
A Celebration of life service to be held Saturday, February 11th from 3-5 PM at Hoover Country Club, 3140 Club Drive, Hoover, AL 35226.
