Stephen Plaisted

Stephen Alan Plaisted, age 48, of Hoover, AL passed away surrounded by his loving family on December 10, 2023 at Brookwood Medical Center. He was a beloved son, husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Stephen was born on October 9, 1975 in Anderson, SC. He lived most of his life in Hoover, AL. He married Dana Bonham on January 1, 1999. They made their home in Bluff Park with their three children Shaman, Caleb and Hala. Stephen was known for his spirituality, bright smile, hard work and passion for helping others. Above all, he was a devoted family man. He loved spending time with his family listening to music (they never missed a Sunday show), watching Alabama football, golfing with his dad and spoiling his dogs. He was an avid outdoorsman and traveler. He and his family camped all over the United States following their favorite bands.

He is survived by his parents Alynn and Sandra Plaisted, his wife and his three children, all of Hoover, AL and his sister Kimberly Plaisted Hillman of Tuscaloosa, AL. He also leaves behind his grandchildren Mason and Charlie, many other loving family members and a tribe of devoted best friends.

A private memorial service for immediate family will be held during the holidays. To honor his memory, a Celebration of Life will follow at a later date. We invite anyone who knew him to attend and remember his wonderful life. Please dress casual to honor Stephen's vibrant and free spirit.
