Stan Burleson

Stan Burleson, originally from Brilliant, AL, passed away Saturday, July 20, 2019, at the age of 87.  He was a member of Birmingham First Church of the Nazarene, served on the church board, and for many years was the head usher and greeter.  Stan was employed by the Birmingham Transit Authority.  Following his retirement, he drove busses for Adventure Tours.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Ruth Burleson; daughter, Regina McCaleb (Mike); son, Jeff Burleson (Patti); 3 grandchildren, Kyle McCaleb (Caroline), Kevin McCaleb, and Kim Massey (Cody); his brother-in-law, Howard Perry (Sandra); and a host of nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 1-2, Tuesday, July 23, 2019, at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home, Hwy 150 in Hoover.  Service will follow at 2:00 in the chapel, Rev. Huey Davis officiating.  Interment will be in Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South.
