Stacie Vanderver

Mrs. Stacie Wells Vanderver, of Dothan, passed away on Thursday, June 10, 2010, at the age of 89. She was born and raised in Isbell, AL and a former resident of Birmingham, AL. She was a member of the Greatest Generation, a U.S. Navy veteran of WWII. Mrs. Vanderver was active in the Eastern Star for many years and a member of Covenant United Methodist Church in Dothan. She is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Austin Vanderver; a son, Wayne Vanderver (Valora) of Dallas, GA; a daughter, Pamela Manning (John) of Dothan; 4 grandchildren, Chris and Jeff Vanderver, and John and Alex Manning; 2 great grandchildren, Dakotah and Tabitha Vanderver; one sister, Grace Searcy; one brother, Paul Wells (Peggy); and many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Saturday, June 12, 2010, from 1 to 2 p.m. at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home, Hwy. 150, Hoover. Funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Doug Tate officiating. Interment will be in Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South.
