Shirley Hurst

Shirley Drake Hurst of Branchville AL, formerly of Birmingham, Greenwood, MS and Hoover AL, has gone home to be with the Lord. Shirley was born in Birmingham, AL. She worked as a book-keeper for The Birmingham Museum of Art and retired after 16 years of service. Her favorite pass times were shopping, dining out with the many dear friends she and Randy made through the years and occasional trips. She was a member of The First Baptist Church of Moody.
She is preceded by her parents, Gladys and Ollie Drake, her brother, Rod Drake and great-great niece, Brooklee Entrekin.
She is survived by her husband, Randy J Hurst, her sister, Anita Drake Heflin, nieces; Renee Entrekin Norwood (Lee), Robin Entrekin Shadix (Donny), Vicki Lynn Entrekin, nephew, Terry Wayne Heflin, II, great-nephews; Randal Entrekin, Tyler Shadix (Kate), Mark Shadix, Kevin Kerzic, Scott and Austin Norwood, great-great nieces; Kenlee, Light and Sapphire, and great-great nephews; Aiden, Ryder and Kaydon.
Visitation will be held Thursday December 12th, 2013 from1-2 PM at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will be held immediately thereafter. Final resting place will be Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South.
Shirley will be truly missed by her family and her many friends.
