Shirley Ann Winstead White

Shirley Ann Winstead White from Clanton, Al, lived a full and wonderful life. She was born December 18, 1934 and passed away on September 7, 2023 at the age of 88, with family by her side. Shirley was born in Yazoo City, MS, but was fortunate to have lived in many different areas of the US and abroad, and then resided in Clanton for the remainder of her life. She is survived by her three children, E. Duane White of Mobile, Al, Donna Knight and Kelvin of Rainbow City, AL, and Robert White and Paula of Alabaster, Al. Shirley was lovingly called “Mimi” by her 7 Grandchildren; Clint Dollar, Katie Dollar, Chelsey Burnett and husband Caleb, Jordan White and wife Kayla, Amanda Knight and husband Ryon, and Alissa Birkhimer; and by her 4 Great Grandchildren, Marleigh Burnett, Harper Anne White, Avery Knight, and Audrey Knight

Shirley loved to do many things, but her favorite was cooking and gardening and growing flowers. She would grow several different vegetables and then preserve them. She acquired the distinction of a Master Gardner in her later years.

Shirley will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Graveside service and intermit will be held at Jefferson Memorial Gardens on September 19, 2023 at 10:00 AM. In lieu of flowers the family asks for donations to the Alzheimer’s Association
