Sheila Dentico

Sheila M. Dentico, 72, of Hoover, Al, formerly of Garnerville, NY, passed away, surrounded by her her loving family and cats on October 24, 2016. She was born in Manhattan, NY and attended Alfred University where she met her husband. She and her husband owned and operated Abyroad Cattery for over thirty years. She loved all kinds of music, especially classic rock and enjoyed going to see her husband's and son's bands. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and lover of all felines. She is survived by her husband, of fifty-three years, Mike Dentico, Sons; David and Peter Dentico, Daughter; Carol (Bart) Slattery, and eight grandchildren; Amanda, Ian, Emily, Claudia, Patrick, Erin, Abigail, and Chloe. A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, October 27, 2016 at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 4:00-5:00 PM with the service at 5:00 PM. A Memorial Service will also be held in Haverstraw New York, on Sunday, October 30, 2016 at The Harbors at Haverstraw Clubhouse at 3:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers the family is requesting donations, in Sheila's name to the American Cancer Society.
