Sharon Hobbs

of Bessemer, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 28, 2006, at the age of 61. She was a member of Bluff Park United Methodist Church. Ms. Hobbs was a graduate of Ensley High School, and also a graduate of Birmingham Southern College. She retired from Alabama Power after 26 years of service. She was preceded in death by her father, E. J. Hobbs. She is survived by her mother, Irene W. Hobbs; a sister, Brenda H. Lewis; and two nephews, Matthew Lewis (Tonya) and Eric Lewis. The family will receive friends on Friday, December 1, 2006, from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel, with Rev. Reid Crotty officiating. Interment will be in Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South.
