Selma Richards

Mrs. Selma Elizabeth Dail Richards, of Hoover, AL, passed away Thursday, November 19, 2015, at the age of 87. She was born in Tarboro, NC and served in the US Air Force. Selma was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years; Bill Richards, daughter; Ginny Hedgepeth, her parents; Leo and Alberta Dail, sister; Virginia Brown and brothers; Roy and Larry Dail. She is survived by daughter; Billie (Daryl) Rosenbaum, grandchildren; Ginny (James) Webb and Jake (Brandi) Rosenbaum, great grandchildren; Kayli, Banks, Shepp and Ford, sisters; Evelyn Davenport and Barbara Hamlin, special niece; Lois (Wayne) Eidson and many nieces and nephews. The family of Selma Richards wishes to thank all her many caregivers from Home Instead as well as Amedysis Hospice for their love, assistance and support. The family will receive friends Monday, November 23, 2015, from 12-1 PM at Southminster Presbyterian Church. A funeral service will follow at 1 PM with Rev. Ben Acton officiating. Interment will be in Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to Southminster Presbyterian Church, 1124 Montgomery Hwy, Vestavia, AL 35216.
