Mr. Scotty Dee Dorrough, age 68 of Birmingham, died January 1, 2013. He was born November 11, 1944 in Stuttgart, Arkansas and raised in Leeds. He was a graduate of Leeds High School and Jacksonville State University and retired as a long-time employee of Industrial Supplies Inc. He was a devoted member of the Episcopal Church, serving on the vestry of Episcopal Church of the Ascension and more recently as a member of All Saints Episcopal Church. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Anne Austin Dorrough, mother Phoebe Scott Dorrough, daughters Leigh Anne Robertson and Julie Austin Head, three granddaughters Elizabeth Anne Robertson, Mary Austin Head and Jane Harris Head, and son-in-law James Macdonald Robertson, all of Birmingham. He is also survived by a brother, Billey Andrew Dorrough of St. Thomas, USVI. He was predeceased by his father Bill Dorrough, sister Phoebe Roberson and son-in-law Thomas Richard Head III. Visitation will be held at 1:00 Friday, January 4th at All Saints Episcopal Church, followed by a memorial service at 2:00.
