Sarah Cooper

Sarah Marie Cooper, of Pelham, went to be with her Lord Wednesday, June 22, 2011, at the age of 89. She was a long-time member of Sandusky First Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Winford Cooper; parents, Augustine and Louise Leo; sister, Mary Angrisano; and brothers; Alphonso, Joe, Rocco, Charlie, and Ben Leo. She is survived by her children, Mary Minor (Jim) and Richard Cooper (Miriam); six grandchildren, Ginger Marlow (Shawn), Julie Poore (Chris), Cathy Mitchell (John), Chris Cooper (Kim), Craig Cooper (Catherine), and Chad Cooper (Hope); ten great grandchildren, Gretchen and Hannah Marlow; Luke and Jake Poore; Michael Cooper; Mark and Matthew Mitchell; Chaney, Stanley, and Jay Cooper; brother, Sam Leo; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 12-2 PM, Friday, June 24, 2011, at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home, Hwy 150 in Hoover. Funeral service will follow at 2 PM in the funeral home chapel, Dr. Mike Shaw and Dr. Paul Moore officiating. Interment will be in Oakland Cemetery.
