Sara Zimmerman

Sara Paula Gore Zimmerman, went to be with the Lord on July 8th, 2023. She was born on October 23rd, 1936 in Clanton, Alabama. She is preceded in death by her husband John Lucian Zimmerman, her parents, Joseph Gene and Bessie Gore, and sister Mildred Gore. Paula is survived by her children, Lisa Jackson and Steve Zimmerman (Tonya), Grandchildren, Caroline (Zac) Hilliard, Christopher Jackson, and Luke Zimmerman, Sister Annie Kate Varden, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Paula was a faithful member of Shades Mountain Baptist Church, loved her Sunday School class and served on several committees throughout the years. She loved gardening, her many beloved dogs and spending time with her family. One of her favorite places to visit was "Petals from the Past "in Jemison, Al. Paula "Bea" was much loved by her family and will be greatly missed.

The Family will receive friends Thursday, July 13thth 5:30pm-6:30pm at Bluff Park United Methodist Church. Burial and Graveside Service will be at Southern Heritage Cemetery on Friday, July 14th, 2023 at 10am. Friends are welcome to attend. In lieu of flowers please make a donation in her name to your local Humane Society.
