Sally Spain

, of Shannon, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, April 10, 2009 at the age of 74. A member of First Baptist Church of Shannon, Sally was a loving wife, mother and Granny who touched the lives of many. She was preceded in death by her son, Joe “Toby” Judson Spain, Jr. She is survived by her loving husband of almost 60 years, Joe Judson Spain, Sr.; her sons, David Spain and Greg Spain; her daughters, Karen Gentry (Jimmy) and Judi Rainey; eleven grandchildren, JJ, Clint, Jake, Heath, Bonnie, Chad, Roxanna, Rachael, Clay, Stephanie, and Tonya; ten great-grandchildren; her sister, Margaret Sule; and a host of loving family and friends. The family will receive friends on Monday, April 13, 2009 from 6-8 pm at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home, Highway 150, Hoover. Funeral service will be held Tuesday, April 14, 2009 at 11 am in the funeral home chapel. Interment will be in Patton Chapel Cemetery.
