Ruth Rindt

resident of Kirkwood By The River, formerly of Sheffield, AL, passed away on Tuesday, May 13, 2008, at the age of 89. She was a Sunday school teacher, choir member, church pianist and an elder in Columbia Avenue Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Rindt was also a delegate to the Presbyterian General Assembly. Later, she worshipped at Old Brick Presbyterian Church. Many will remember her amazing talents, including writing, gardening, sewing, needlework, and painting. Friends and family enjoyed her Easter Eggs, hand-painted Santa Clauses, Christmas Cookies (artwork within themselves) and most of all her coffee cakes. She was preceded in death by her son, Roger Rindt. She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Donald W. Rindt; two sons, Jon Rindt (Katherine), Front Royal, VA and Brian Rindt (Frances), Kennesaw, GA; two daughters, Nancy Carlisle (Cliff), Dora, AL and Elaine Eggers (Philip), Hoover, AL; seven grandchildren, Beth, Keith (Kenda), Robin (John), Rusty (Bretta), David (Jenny), Christy (Todd), and Isaac; and eleven great-grandchildren, Chris, Elizabeth, Noah, Michael, Charlotte, Savannah, Abby, Ella, Emma, Ivy, and Megan. Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, May 17, 2008, at 10:00 am at Sheffield Oakwood Cemetery.
